This is me!

Overcomer Extraordinaire, Self-Development Junkie, Lifelong Learner & Cheerleader for all!
That pretty much sums up why I am here. With a background in social work for over 26 years and a long history of life lessons that literally have knocked me off my feet, I have come to appreciate what it takes to not only adjust when life throws us a curveball, but to learn the lessons and transform who you are, and then…. finally, get to a place of THRIVING! Now I am on a mission to pay it forward and share what I have learned along the way, both personally and professionally
and help others get there too.

"I always knew I was here to help people."

As a child, my parents divorced when I was very young; and I never knew my biological father. Growing up with a single mom, we didn’t have a lot of money in our earlier years. She worked 3 jobs to make ends meet which meant she was not available physically or emotionally, and we sometimes went without things like food, hot water, heat, and at one point, almost lost our home.  At about the age of 10, I remember my mom sitting my brother and I down the week before Christmas and telling us she was behind in her house payments and that if she didn’t pay them that week, that we would lose our home. She didn’t have enough money for that in addition to Christmas, so she wanted us to decide. Of course we chose the house.  That was such a pivotal moment in my life because then, on Christmas Eve morning, some cars pulled up in front of the house and people brought in boxes after boxes of gifts, food, clothes, and anything we could think of! I remember watching them out the window with tears in my eyes and telling God that I would remember this always and do that for someone else someday.  That was the day that my heart for service was born.

When I went to college, I randomly took an intro to Social Work class which took me back to those childhood memories of neglect, poverty, and my promise to pay it forward. I became a social worker and child advocate in child welfare, working to help children and families in the foster care system; and I became the voice for those who didn’t have one. I loved this work until I went through my own high-conflict divorce, which was very devastating and life-altering and totally changed the trajectory of my life. I had to leave child welfare and I knew that when my youngest graduated, I would go back to school. I thought I was going to be a therapist, but during my divorce, I worked with a therapist, a coach, and a spiritual director and realized that coaching was what had the most profound impact on me. It empowered me, helped me to figure out who I was, to face my fears, and to take on Goliath in what became eventually a multi-year battle through the appellate court system, all the way to the Supreme Court. I became my own champion/fighter, my confidence grew, and I went back to school to be a coach and haven’t looked back. I love what I do! I have the sincere pleasure of helping to empower others to take back their lives too. As a former social worker and having lived in the limbo with a history of health issues back in 2020, I bring a holistic approach to all of my coaching clients as they progress through difficult life transitions.

Focusing on WELLNESS in ALL aspects of their lives, helping them to reach their full potential!
